What Missouri pays at different wages
Calculated from the rate, maximum and minimum above for an eligible worker with temporary total disability. Above about $1,942 a week, every extra dollar of wage adds nothing to the benefit.
How Missouri sets the benefit
Missouri sets the temporary total maximum at 105% of the state average weekly wage each July 1. Permanent partial disability has a separate, lower cap of $678.18 (55% of the state average weekly wage) from July 1, 2026.
The $40 weekly minimum comes from section 287.170 of the Missouri statutes.
These figures are for temporary total disability only. Partial, permanent and death benefits use different rules and caps, and eligibility, the average weekly wage calculation and the injury date all have to be confirmed with the claims administrator or the Missouri Division of Workers' Compensation.
